KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and 2019 NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes announced he’s starting a children’s foundation Monday night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Mahomes’ foundation, dubbed “15 and The Mahomies,” is dedicated to serving “kids from either under-served communities that don’t get the same opportunities I had whenever I was young, or kids that are in the hospital that have chronic illnesses or have suffered major injuries, because those kids are the ones that have trained harder than me by 100 times every single day,” Mahomes said on the late night show.
Mahomes said he wanted to make sure children get the resources they need to lead an “amazing life.”
According to the organization’s Twitter bio, it will focus on helping children through “supporting initiatives that focus on health, wellness & communities in need of resources.”
